Confidentiality Pledge

Each member of C.A.R.E. places confidentiality first and foremost in every relationship: whether between members, Bible study participants or those outside of the ministry. We feel that each individual has the right and need for privacy and it is not the intention of C.A.R.E. or it's members to violate this right.

We will share openly about our abortions only as God leads in the process.
We acknowledge that each individual may process grief and healing differently. We will be patient in the process, just as God was patient with each one of us.
We will respect other’s need for privacy.
When new members join our efforts, we will wait without asking, for them to tell us about their abortion experience or lack of.
We will not ask about abortion experiences without first asking permission, “May I ask you a personal question?”
We will not assume or speculate about other people’s abortion experiences or lack thereof.
We will not tell other’s stories or discuss any details unless we have specific permission to do so.
We will not discuss others’ needs in meetings or one on one, unless specifically asked to do so.
We will not pass on prayer requests, unless specifically asked to do so.
Most importantly, we will guard our hearts and thereby ensure that the words that come out of our mouths are pure and in keeping with God’s own loving and protective heart.
